minimum of 1 year warranty (for example most
hard drives come with a 3year warranty, and

Our PUDO (pick-up/drop-off) Service has been
so successful, that we've decided to
continue it into the spring months,
providing even more value for our customers.
In order to encourage our customers to keep
their PC's up-to-date more often (which is
very much in their interests, even though
they may not realize it because of the
threats that exist today),
XL Computers are now offering a FREE pickup
and drop-off service for your Computers.
i.e. We will only charge for our workshop
service, which is normally very reasonable
in any case. Hence this offer represents
great value to those who like to make sure
their Computers are working to their best
(and keeping out those nasties!).
Offer only applies to the Galway City Area
(i.e. from within 12Km of Galway City
Centre).
XL Computers Regular Services Include:
*XL Computers Remote
Access Management Programme:
XL Computers are now providing an invaluable
service to many of our customers, whereby we
use Remote login to check the condition of
our Customers PC’s, as well as providing
Remote Backup Services. The biggest
advantage this has for the customer is
SUBSTANTIAL SAVINGS in Maintenance costs
over the life of the PC, as well as the
peace of mind of knowing your data is backed
up to a safe location. However, before
taking on this service, we recommend that we
meet and talk to you to cover what we can
offer in some detail, as well as set it up
for you for the 1st time (once
you agree to the service, once it’s setup it
works from thereon). Hence as part of
our initial meeting we are offering the
following services (scroll down for more!):
*SPECIAL OFFER TO Home PC
Users:
We will carry out a routine check on each of
your PC’s for a flat fee of €45/PC if you
bring your PC into us, or €85 for onsite
service. And if you have broadband, we can
setup remote access, as well as advise you
on security, Wireless Networking etc.
*SPECIAL OFFER TO
Business PC Users:
We will carry out a routine check on each of
your PC’s for a flat fee of €45/PC if you
bring your PC into us, or €100 for onsite
service and include a FREE site
survey of all your IT Systems. And if you
have broadband, we can setup remote access
for both service, and to help you if you
wish to Access your Office PC from home (We
can set this up for you, so all you need to
do is click on an icon type in your password
and you're in). as well as advise you on
security, Wireless Networking etc.
The PC Check listed above, includes the
following set of services:

up-to-date

Perform a full system scan for any spyware
you may have, and take preventative

Procedure:
Backup your Valuable Data Automatically,
and BE SURE THAT IT IS SAFELY BACKED UP.
This is what you get when you use this
service, as verification of the backup is
carried out at the remote site, and a
corresponding email automatically sent to
the contacts email address.
[This Quotation INCLUDES both of the above
services. Backup ONLY can be done for as
little as €8/mth. Prices exclude vat, and
also are subject to the 15% Discount as part
of the Special offer].
These services start from as little as
€8/month.
Full details of these important services are
available on request, as pricing will vary
depending on the size and complexity of your network,
as well as the number/capacity of the files
being remotely backed up. A specific Price
will be established on an as per case basis,
and we will then supply you with full
details on the package we have provide you
with.
Our approach to PC Maintenance is a
Pro-active one, rather
than a Re-active one (the one used by most
PC support Companies today). This gives you
added peace of mind, and improves your
overall productivity in that you can get on
with using your computers to do what they’re
supposed to do in an efficient manner.

Laptop Specials at XL Computers:
XL Computers have recently
upgraded their diagnostics facilities that
facilitates easy service on the hard disks
of Laptop computers, and because of this we
are making an introductory offer of only €50
(including VAT) to have your laptop serviced
on it. Yes you can remove all that
harmful Spyware and possible Viruses that
have been slowing your Laptop down (but you
may not have realized why it was running
slower), not to mention the possible
security risks to your data once you go
online!!.. This €50 offer will
run from now until Easter Weekend.
We are also clearing stock of
older Laptop RAM so if you have a Laptop
over 1 year old, we more than likely have
the RAM in stock to allow you to upgrade it,
and we’re disposing of it at heavy discounts
(i.e. well below cost), so contact us if you
are interested in upgrading your RAM, and
thereby extending the life of your laptop.
Re: Backup Solutions.
As you may have already
learnt to your cost, Laptops are much more
venerable to data loss than desktops, as
they are likely to get knocked around during
their life, making them susceptible to hard
disk crashes and consequent data loss. XL
Computers have a solution to this problem,
by providing an automatic backup solution on
a regular basis, at an interval that suits
you (i.e. if you are a heavy user of your
laptop and update your info every day, we
recommend a daily backup as a minimum).

COMPUTER DISPOSAL SERVICE:
You may have seen our recent
advertising campaign in the press,
advertising a computer disposal
service. We've started providing
this service, because we offer our
customers several key advantages in
providing this service. Number
1 it's FREE to customers of XL
Computers. We now factor in a
disposal charge into the original
price of the Computer, such that we
can then offer to take it back for
free once you're upgrading. If you
don't have an XL Computer, not to
worry we also provide a free service
on those PC's also, as long as there
is any salvageable items within the
computer that may be worth
retrieving. Otherwise there is a
standard Disposal fee of
€40/computer. If you have a number
of computers to get rid of, let us
know and we can work out a deal on a
per case basis. Please note that the
computers are dis-assembled and
disposed of in an environmentally
friendly way. This is important to
us, as we are an eco aware company.
It
is extraordinary that in this day
and age, many Individuals (and
Companies) dispose of their paper
litter very carefully by shredding
it, yet when it comes to their
computers, often they are prepared
to have them scrapped with little
thought of the importance destroying
the data on them, and often deciding
to delete the computers files before
disposal, not realizing that this
just isn't enough when it comes to
protecting your information privacy,
as we can amply demonstrate. Even
formatting the hard drive prior to
disposal is no guarantee of removal.
Hence it is important to bring the
Computer to an expert to have the
data removed safely, so you can rest
assured that all of your information
is SAFELY and DEFINITELY disposed
